Financial Aid and Scholarships

Peninsula College offers limited financial aid and scholarship resources for those who require assistance to cover the cost of tuition and fees of classes offered through the Entrepreneur Institute.  You may visit the following programs to determine eligibility and/or access applications for funding:

Worker Retraining - Designed to provide instruction and training that can lead to family-wage employment. Worker retraining is offered for all Professional Technical programs and related short-term courses such as those offered through the Entrepreneur Institute.  The financial aid associated with the Worker Training is available only to specific populations, including but not limited to dislocated workers.  If eligible, grant money is provided for the education and training costs.

Peninsula College Foundation Entrepreneur Scholarship - Scholarships for individuals are restricted to classes, workshops, and seminars offered through the Entrepreneur Institute. Scholarships will not exceed 50% of the cost of the class (includes tuition, supplies, and program fees).  Other eligibility requirements and restrictions apply.  Please visit the link for more information.

Business Development Resources

The Incubator @ Lincoln Center - Provides a state-of-the-art business incubation and technology center that includes counseling, administrative services and assistance, facilities, hardware and software, fiber optic internet access, training programs, and other resources that promote the formation and advancement of small businesses.

Clallam Economic Development Council - Connects entrepreneurs and local business owners to business assistance resources.  Provides coordination for economic development projects to simplify the process of economic development and investment to support and grow businesses and jobs.

Peninsula College Workforce Education & Customized Business Training - Consultants meet with businesses to customize business training for specific requirements.  Training is delivered on site or at a college training site.   

SCORE - Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE) offers free and confidential advice to small businesses, local face-to-face counseling, online counseling, online workshops, and more. Offered locally through the Clallam EDC.  Call 360.457.7793 to schedule an appointment.

WorkSource Clallam County - WorkSource Centers represent a unique concept in the labor market – everything in one place.  As part of the nationwide US Employment Service, WorkSource can help you with these free services: Get help preparing your résumé and getting ready for interviews; Assess your skills and get career guidance; Get referred to a training program.

Washington Small Business Development Center - Washington Small Business Development Centers promote economic vitality by providing advice, training, and research to entrepreneurs and existing businesses statewide.
