Umami Sea Vegetables Wins Entrepreneur Challenge

Timothy Visi, founder of Umami Sea Vegetables won the top prize of $5,000 at the 2009 Entrepreneurial Challenge.   Umami Sea Vegtables grows edible seaweed, including nori, ogo, flatbrush, dulse and wakame with plans to start selling the varieties to grocery stores and restaurants across Western Washington.

Announcing the Youth Challenge Award Recipients

Port Angeles High School Student Heidi Eberle  and Steve Luxton & Damon Houck, a team from Sequim High School, were awarded $1,500 cash prizes at the Entrepreneur Youth Challenge that took place at the Lincoln Center in Port Angeles on February 11.
