Timothy Visi, founder of Umami Sea Vegetables won the top prize of $5,000 at the 2009 Entrepreneurial Challenge. Â Â Umami Sea Vegtables grows edible seaweed, including nori, ogo, flatbrush, dulse and wakame with plans to start selling the varieties to grocery stores and restaurants across Western Washington.

Peninsula College Entrepreneur Institute and the Incubator @ Lincoln Center are presenting the Entrepreneur Challenge 2009, a business plan competition.  We have received 26 entries into this year’s competition from across the Olympic Peninsula who have an idea to start or grow a business.Â

Port Angeles High School Student Heidi Eberle and Steve Luxton & Damon Houck, a team from Sequim High School, were awarded $1,500 cash prizes at the Entrepreneur Youth Challenge that took place at the Lincoln Center in Port Angeles on February 11.Â
